Find the two parts of the date

This guide covers the early hotel room with two blocked doors: a date mechanism on one and an item requirement on the other. After the CRTV tutorial, tune the device to the signal. PowerPyx’s route identifies channel 60 for this room. Watch the footage for the day and month, then inspect the Room Service Card for the year.

Treat those as separate pieces of one date. The CRTV information does not supply the complete answer by itself, and the printed year does not tell you which day to choose. Read both clues before returning to the mechanism.

Set the date wheels in the correct order

Use the three wheels to enter the values below. This is a calendar date, so do not turn it into a single six-digit combination or use Room 204 as the code. Follow your platform’s interaction prompts to adjust each wheel.

• Top wheel: 18, the day.
• Middle wheel: January, the month.
• Bottom wheel: 1996, the year.

Take the bathroom key and open the other door

The date lock opens the bathroom. Search it for the note and the Haldane Hotel Room 204 key. Return to the other locked door and use that key to continue. Solving the date mechanism is therefore only the first part of leaving this room.

If you opened the bathroom but still cannot leave, check the key pickup before trying to change the date again. You have already passed the date-lock step; the remaining interaction is with the second door.

If your attempt does not match the walkthrough

First check that you are at the hotel’s three-part date mechanism, then compare each wheel with the day, month and year above. If you are still in the CRTV introduction, finish reading and viewing the available clues before retrying. These are checks for a missed step, not a verified fix for a software bug.
