Find the open window into CEG HQ as Richard. Follow the exterior lift and scaffold ladders, check a blocked window and collect the yard emails before entering.

Open the scaffold gate, go left up the ladder, then descend the next ladder and follow the walkway to the open window. Crouch through it. From the construction lift to the window
With the generator running, activate the exterior lift and select its up control. At the top, pass the scaffold gate, head left and climb the ladder. Continue to the next ladder and descend it; follow the scaffold walkway to the opening. Crouch to enter.
The launch-game screenshot in AppMedia’s chapter guide shows a low, open window with a desk and papers visible inside. Use that opening as the destination landmark. All Things How’s route description and a September 26 player reply agree on the up-then-down ladder sequence.
If there is glass in the window
A September 26 player reported a closed window even after reloading and reinstalling. A reply directed them through the scaffold gate and both ladders to a different, open window. This is a route check, not proof of a software defect or a guaranteed fix for every blocked interaction.
Retrace the scaffold path and compare the open-window screenshot before trying another reinstall. If the correct opening is still inaccessible, keep your save and record the platform, game version and location for support.
If the lift has no power yet
Find the Generator Key in the upstairs Manager’s Office cabinet in the outbuilding reached through the garage. At the generator’s rear, leave the left and middle controls vertical and turn the rightmost control on. At the front, insert the key and pull the red lever. Return to the lift once power is restored.
Read the yard computer before riding up
After restoring power, return to the first exterior building and read both computer entries: Facilities: Works Halted and DONTREAD.DOC. PowerPyx added an explicit warning after a player missed them on a no-manual-save run. Collect them before taking the lift instead of relying on returning from inside the tower.
