Townfall CEG Access Card: Richard’s Box 36 and Code 486
Find Richard’s Box 36, enter 486, then use employee ID 00007820518 to print the CEG elevator Access Card. Includes both code-sheet halves and printer checks.
Quick answer
Open Richard’s Box 36 with 486, take the Employee File Cover Note and enter employee ID 00007820518 at the Security Room computer. Power on the adjacent printer, generate the Access Card and pick it up before using the elevator. The Security Room door code is 4895; it is a different lock from the box.

1. Open Security and collect both code-sheet halves
In Maintenance, search the bin for the first torn code sheet and examine the whiteboard. Its starting digit and arrows lead to 4895 for the Security Room near reception. Search the bin beside the Security desk for the other half, then combine them in inventory. Published guides call the restored clue either Grid of Codes or Case Codes.
This is Simon’s interior CEG visit in Part 4. Richard’s later exterior generator and scaffold entrance is a separate sequence.
2. Identify Richard on the podium list
Go to the room with rows of chairs and black cases. Read Box IDs and Names at the podium: Richard’s entry is 36. If you returned after a break and forgot whose case you need, this is the name to find. A September 25 Steam question, with another player describing the same confusion on October 3, shows why the name matters.
The Nerd Stash’s annotated game capture and Showgamer place his case in the third row from the front, at the sixth seat. Check the case number before entering 486. The completed code grid provides the combination for that position; avoid opening other cases at random.
3. Print and collect the elevator card
Take the Employee File Cover Note from the opened case. At the Security Room’s Employee Database computer, enter all eleven digits of 00007820518, including the leading zeros. Turn on the printer/card device to the left and choose the on-screen option to generate or print the Access Card. Pick up the finished card from the device.
Use that physical card at the elevator reader to continue to the tenth floor. Entering the employee ID at a door keypad, or leaving after submitting it without collecting the printout, does not complete this item chain.
If the printer or elevator still does not respond
Recheck the box document, the complete ID, the printer’s power and the collected card before diagnosing a fault. Follow the interaction prompts for your platform; this guide does not prescribe a universal PC key or controller button. The steps were cross-checked against launch walkthroughs and the box-location game capture on October 3, 2026. No patch-specific repair is claimed.
The later Finance door needs a different access-card step and code 2709; do not substitute that number for the Security door or Richard’s case.
Common questions
Which black box belongs to Richard?
Box 36. Confirm it with Box IDs and Names at the podium; the checked guides locate it at the sixth seat in the third row from the front.
Is 486 the elevator password?
No. It opens Richard’s case. The elevator uses the Printed Access Card generated from employee ID 00007820518.
Does this open Richard’s scaffold window?
No. This is the earlier interior box-and-card puzzle. The scaffold entrance belongs to Richard’s separate Part 5 visit.
