Silent Hill: Townfall Clamp Release: D71 Panel Settings

Release the SWDP shipping-container clamps with D71, Report switches 1/3/6 and batteries B/C. Check every panel setting and the final red valve step.

Quick answer

On the 920CEG clamp panel, set Pressure Control to Set, Self and All to On, both tensions to Intermediate, Run Off to Disengaged and Intubate Flow to None. Enter D71, enable Report switches 1, 3 and 6, and set batteries One to B and Two to C. Press the flashing green Release button, then go to the red valve beside the container.

Reach the clamp panel after the NSO console

Finish the remote-system commands, unlock the Valve F door with equipment ID 592 and operate Valve F downstairs. Return to the Control Room printer for the Clamp Release Procedure. The separate panel faces the container. The earlier FIX THIS rotation-clamp code E3E3 belongs to another machine.

Set every control on the 920CEG panel

Use the labels on your panel and its printed procedure. The inspected AppMedia capture and ShowGamer walkthrough agree on this configuration. Report switches are counted from the left.

Press Release, then use the red valve

Check that the green Release control is flashing and press it. Leave the panel and approach the red valve beside the released container. This is a later interaction than opening Valve F. If Release is not ready, compare every row above, especially the two battery selectors and the inactive Report switches.

If D71 is too faint to read

Look at the upper sides of the clamp frame. The existing NSO guide includes an inspected Steam Deck comparison where aggressive FSR obscures the marking. A temporary higher-quality or native-rendering comparison can help read it; restore your preferred setting afterward.

If the valve has a prompt but does nothing

An October 4 player reports reaching this interaction after the panel sequence without being able to turn the valve. The discussion has no verified fix or established cause. Check whether Release actually completed and distinguish this red valve from Valve F. If the documented sequence still fails, keep a recording, your platform and menu build for support. Restarting the entire game is not a confirmed remedy.

Evidence and version limits

Checked October 6, 2026 against the published launch walkthroughs and an annotated in-game panel capture. We have not replayed every difficulty or later build. Compare your procedure if labels differ; the unresolved interaction report does not establish a universal bug.

Common questions

Which Report switches should be on?

Only 1, 3 and 6, counted from the left. Leave 2, 4 and 5 off.

What are the two battery settings?

Battery One is B, pointing up. Battery Two is C, pointing right.
