Silent Hill: Townfall FOV, Head Bob and Camera Settings

Find Override Field of View, Head Bob, Motion Blur and Aim Dot in Townfall’s launch menus, with screenshot-verified PS5 settings and clear limits.

Quick answer

In the photographed PS5 launch menus, Display Options contains Override Field of View, Field of View, Letterbox and Motion Blur. Game Options contains Head Bob and Aim Dot. Control Options separates look sensitivity from Aim Sensitivity. These are presentation adjustments, not a guaranteed cure for discomfort.

On this page

1. Adjust the view in Display Options

Enable Override Field of View before adjusting Field of View. The verified screenshot shows 85 at the right-hand end of the slider; the menu warns that increasing it may affect performance. Letterbox and Motion Blur are separate checkboxes on this tab. Try disabling Motion Blur if you prefer a clearer image during camera movement.

2. Check Head Bob and Aim Dot in Game Options

The screenshot shows Head Bob unchecked and Aim Dot set to Small. Aim Dot supplies a central screen marker; its in-game description says enabling it can help with motion sickness. This is the game’s wording, not a guarantee for every player. Weapon Crosshair is a different row.

3. Separate looking from aiming

Control Options lists Horizontal Look Sensitivity, Vertical Look Sensitivity and Aim Sensitivity separately. The selected Aim Sensitivity row describes camera movement while aiming. The screenshot uses 0.5 for aiming, but that is an example value, not a universal recommendation. If ordinary turning feels too fast, compare the look controls rather than adjusting only aiming.

Test one change and keep your original values

Record your settings first, then compare one change at a time in the same scene. Restore changes that make the presentation worse for you. Do not keep testing while you feel unwell. These screenshots show a PlayStation interface with PSSR; they do not verify identical ranges on every PC configuration or later patch. No file edit or mod is required for the menu controls shown here.

Common questions

Does changing FOV remove the red Otherworld effect?

We have not verified a red-filter removal option. A camera or motion setting should not be presented as a confirmed solution for discomfort caused by a particular scene’s colours.

Do these settings switch the game to third person?

No third-person switch is documented here. Field of view, screen framing and camera movement are separate from the game’s first-person perspective.
