Who Is Simon Ordell in Silent Hill: Townfall?

Simon Ordell is Townfall’s playable protagonist. Learn his announced connection to St. Amelia, the CRTV, and Zoe without treating theories as spoilers.

Quick answer

Simon Ordell is the protagonist of Silent Hill: Townfall. Konami’s introduction places him on St. Amelia after a call to return and set things right. The mystery begins with a contradiction: Screen Burn says Simon does not recognize the island or the woman calling him, Zoe.

The opening gives Simon a question to follow

The invitation to return suggests a connection that Simon himself does not understand. That gap is the useful starting point for reading the story: distinguish what a message asks him to believe from what he actually recognizes. Calling the island his former home, assigning him a particular crime, or explaining his missing recognition would go beyond the introductory material used here. Those are questions for the story, not facts supplied by the premise.

Why the pocket television matters to his role

The February reveal identifies Simon as the owner of the CRTV shown in the earlier teaser. The device receives signals and helps him locate threats. It therefore connects two things the player does through Simon: investigating what happened and deciding how to move through danger. When a broadcast refers to him, it can be useful to ask who is speaking, what that speaker knows, and what Simon has actually learned at that point.

Separate a character’s claim from an explanation

For a spoiler-conscious first playthrough, keep a small record of direct observations. A statement made by another character is something Simon has heard; it does not automatically resolve the larger mystery. This reading approach avoids turning a suggestive scene into a conclusion too early. In particular, the initial mismatch between a return invitation and his lack of recognition allows questions to remain open without filling them with an outside theory.

Where this profile stops

This introduction covers the announced protagonist and the uncertainty in the opening setup. It does not identify an ending, explain Simon’s full past, or treat a theory about his physical condition as established. If you want to follow the story in release order, the official trailer is a useful next source, but even promotional footage may reveal locations or encounters you would prefer to discover while playing. Zoe’s short profile keeps to the same opening-story boundary.

Common questions

Is Simon the character I control?

Yes. The developer identifies Simon Ordell as the protagonist, and gameplay is presented through his eyes in first person. The camera choice does not make his personal story irrelevant.

Does Simon already know Zoe?

In the June developer introduction, Zoe is not someone Simon recognizes having encountered before. The reason for that uncertainty is not resolved by the introductory profile.
